Experts are tying to determine what caused the death of more than a score of dolphins in a river in Cornwall in southwest England. The common and striped dolphins died on Monday (June 9, 2008) after swimming up Percuil River near the Cornish town of Falmouth. The mammals were swimming upstream chasing a large shoal of fish but then apparently became confused and disoriented in shallow water.
