Bad luck continues to dog the cruise liner 'Queen Victoria'

Queen Victoria, the cruise liner launched by Camilla Rosemary, Duchess of Cornwall, is considered unlucky. The ship is now being labelled 'ill-fated'. In the latest incident the ship crashed into the dock at Malta!

When the Duchess swung the champagne bottle against the hull of the liner and it failed to break during the launching ceremony in Southampton, it was seen as a sign of bad luck.

Three weeks later, on her second voyage, scores of passengers were struck down by the contagious stomach bug norovirus, which causes vomiting and diarrhoea for up to three days.

Wednesday's incident was seen by many of the passengers out on deck. "We were reversing and, being at the back of the ship, we could see what was going to happen before it did," said one passenger.

"We couldn't believe it. Seeing the 90,0000-ton ship back into the dock was incredible. The concrete exploded with the force of the impact. It is very embarrassing."
