LOLcats transition from web to RL!

pet

I am a huge fan of Lolcats! Could spend hours just browsing through the photos and laughing @ the quotes. I doubt I'll pick up lolspeak but that's okay. The important thing is that i understand them ;-) And now the Lolcats have broken out of the web into the real world..

An artist in San Francisco has created what is believed to be the biggest Lolcat ever made – a 40ft mural on the side of a building.

The design – a ginger cat suspended vertically in the air with feet out-stretched, next to the words "Invisible bike" - is based on one of the most popular internet Lolcats. The artist issued an appeal on his blog for Lolcat fans to help him with the work, and last Saturday morning a team of volunteers came armed with paint, ropes, and climbing gear.

The result is this three-storey mural on a back wall at the end of an alley on Quincy Street in the city. The painting is already drawing curious tourists and Lolcat afficionados, including Ben Huh, who runs the successful Lolcat blog I Can Has Cheezburger? . (Telegraph)
