There are a lot of people that do not like wind turbines insisting that they are ugly. I feel though at we are at a point when we cannot think about eyesores. Solar panels look ugly too but I had them installed on the roof of our home because they are absolutely necessary! We need to use alternative energy as much as possible. I am happy to hear that Britain's Queen Elizabeth is getting her own wind turbine. Which means that our Donald might also consider it, Anglophile that he is! Though the sun hardly ever shines, it is always windy here!
Britain's Queen Elizabeth is going green by investing in the largest wind turbine in the world, her property company the Crown Estate said on Wednesday.
The Estate, which owns most of the seabed off Britain's shores, regularly leases out its land to wind farm projects but has never invested in the turbines.
With a capacity of 7.5 megawatts, the Crown has gone for the biggest yet. (Reuters)
