I have been in two earthquakes in my life, one in Italy and one in Bali. Both times I was in a house and on the ground floor. I was able to run out - both times with the kids - and they were not nice experiences. I will never forget the groaning noises the houses made - like they were in pain! I cannot imagine what it must be like to be in a multi storey building during an earthquake. And then we find out that these are built badly and comes down like a house of cards. The poor, poor people! Please consider making a donation either online or with your preferred care organization.
